Ian is often asked about gun dog behavioural problems by clients either over the phone or when attending Game Fairs and Country Shows.

So, in addition to the sale of gun dog training products, Ian and The Working Dog Company™ are pleased to be able to offer an advice and training clinic for both existing and new clients from his North Hertfordshire base that complements the existing service.

He works his 2 Labradors and Cocker on local shoots and can be seen out working them 2 to 3 times a week during the shooting season. Ian is also a Committee member of the Utility Gundog Society HBB Branch where he also helps out at Working Tests, Field Trials and Spring/Summer Training sessions. Ian has joined the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor scheme (KCAI) and will be shortly working towards accreditation in the area of gundogs; this will offer clients a formal qualification that backs up his years of practical experience. He is also an Accredited Instructor for the renowned ‘Gundog Club’; the Club’s Graded Training Scheme provides an ideal opportunity for gundog owners to have their dogs tested against a consistent national standard.
